First let’s learn about International Organization. It is an Institution with members from at least three states, activities in multiple states, and members bound together by a formal agreement. International organizations serve many diverse functions, including collecting information and monitoring trends, delivering services and aid and providing forums for bargaining and settling disputes. There is a lot of international organization which are World Health Organization, European Union and World Meteorological Organization. But for this page we will focus on ASEAN.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations or known as ASEAN is a regional grouping that promotes economic, political, and security cooperation among its ten members which are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The purpose of ASEAN is to accelerate regional economic growth, social progress, and cultural development. It is also to promote regional peace and stability through a commitment to justice and the rule of law in regional relations, as well as adherence to the United Nations Charter's principles.

  WEEK 8: GROWTH TRIANGLE INTRODUCTION.             Growth triangle is the one initiative or program to ASEAN develop their economy among members. It is two or more countries that cooperate each other to create new economic dynamo to rival anything in Southeast Asia especially the countries that share the boundaries. This program also will help to achieve the objective trade liberalization that outlined by AFTA. Actually, it was the establishment of a regional development model in which the focus is placed on private sector-led growth rather than the traditional government-led development drive.   WEEK 7: South East Asia Nuclear Weapons Free Zone (SEANWFZ) INTRODUCTION Nuclear weapons and bombs may have a huge impact on people's health, as can be seen by tragedies at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, when large populations were affected by radiation. Moreover, 80 000 people was estimated be killed when the incident happens. This incident was recorded as first atomic bombing that has happened during the first World War. Hence, ASEAN member country has taken an initiative to prevent such event happens in Southeast Asian country by established Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon Free Zone (SEANWFZ) in 1995. This treaty is shown commitment of ASEAN to preserve Southeast Asian region as free nuclear weapons and other weapons. Besides SEANWFZ, this treaty is also known as Bangkok Treaty.
