WEEK 6: SOUTHEAST ASIAN (SEA) GAMES INTRODUCTION Southeast Asian Game or we know as SEA Games (SEAG) is one of a biennial multi-sport event that involve 11 countries of Southeast Asia or ASEAN members. Before this, SEA games also known as Southeast Asian Peninsula Games or SEAP Games. SEAP or SEA Games was established on 1958. Where on 22nd MAY 1958 they attended the 3rd Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan and make agreement about this sports organization. For the next year the SEAP or SEA Games was being held at Bangkok Thailand and then this SEA Games will be held every 2 years. Actually, the name of SEAP Games was use only from 1958 until 1975 and after that, start from 1977 it changes to SEA Games and use it until now. This multi-sport event was promoted to Southeast Asian peninsular countries. At first, Thailand, Myanmar), Malaysia Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia agree to join this event and they start it next year. WEEK 5: GETTING TO ZERO NEW HIV INFECTIONS PROGRAM INTRODUCTION HIV can be referring as Human Immunodeficiency Virus which is the virus that attack the immune system of the body. There is no cure and if it is not treated, it will lead to AIDS. (CDC, 2021) HIV is very dangerous because it destroys CD4 cells. The CD4 cells are very important because it keep the people healthy. It also responsible to protect the individuals from diseases and infections. (Pietrangelo, 2021) The World Health Organization is very concern about this HIV issue. So that, the ASEAN must do something to combat this issue from increase. In term of ASEAN, ASEAN Member States have implemented many programs to combat the HIV among them. The HIV cases come from many aspects such as inject drugs, men having sex with men, sex workers and their clients, and mores.   WEEK 4: ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) INTRODUCTION OF AFTA After 25 years of the establishment of ASEAN, the formation of ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) was formed in Singapore through ASEAN Summit 1992. Formation of AFTA as a reaction to other emerging regional groupings, which is North American Free Trade Area (NAFTA) and the development of the European Union (EU). The goal of AFTA is to create a single market and an international manufacturing base, as well as to attract foreign direct investment and promote intra-ASEAN trade and investment. ASEAN Free Trade Area is one of the drastic decisions made by ASEAN countries to develop theirs economic because at that time there is no movement of shifting positively in term of their economic development. Through the Agreement on the Common Preferential Tariff (CEPT), the aims of ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) which is eliminate the tariff barriers can be achieved.
